Close to the door he paused to stand
As he took his class ring off her hand
All that were watching could not speak
As a single tear ran down his check
Memories of the moments they had
Thinking of them makes him sad
Laughing and walking under the sun
He thought she'd always be the one
Knowing the hurt was painful to see
But thinking that she only wanted to be free
His brown eyes slowly turned so cold
Because he knew this love he could no longer hold
He whispered to her as he bent near
A soft "I love you" in her ear
On his finger he placed his ring
He said "good bye" and gave a kiss
To a special girl he knew he would miss
The door was closed, his head hung low
As they carried her casket through the snow
